1. Who we are

This website (xingchenbirdnest.com) is operated by Birdnest Taiko Sdn. Bhd. (company no. 536032-X), trading as Xing Chen Bird Nest Manufacturing. Address: No. 2, First Floor, Jalan Sri Batu Caves 9, Taman Sri Batu Caves, 68100 Batu Caves, Selangor, Malaysia.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

• Enquiry form: your name, company, country or region, email address, WhatsApp or WeChat ID (optional), the product you are interested in, estimated quantity, target market, your message, and any file you choose to attach (up to 5 MB). Fields marked * are required; without them we cannot reply to your enquiry.
• WhatsApp, WeChat or email: the messages you send us and your contact details.
• Comments: the name, email address and text you enter when you comment on an article.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs: our web host records your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and when, for security and troubleshooting.
• Analytics and ad measurement: we use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to count visits and see where they come from, and Meta Pixel to measure our advertising. These services set cookies in your browser and collect your IP address, device and browsing information.
• Embedded content: our contact page embeds Google Maps, some product pages embed YouTube videos (privacy-enhanced mode), and some of our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. To show this content, your browser connects directly to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.

3. How we use it

• to reply to your enquiry, send quotes, samples and specifications, and arrange factory visits;
• to process orders, production, shipping and export documents once you place an order;
• to send you an automatic confirmation email after you submit the form;
• to block spam: form submissions and comments are checked by Akismet, a service of Automattic;
• to understand how the website is used, improve it, and measure our advertising;
• to meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Who we share it with

• Service providers: our web hosting and email providers, Automattic (Akismet), Google (Analytics, Maps, YouTube, Fonts) and Meta (Pixel). They handle data under their own privacy policies.
• Partners needed to fulfil your order: when you place an order or ask us to export, the shipping, customs, inspection and import partners needed to complete it, such as freight forwarders, customs agents and the importer you name.
• Authorities: where the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside Malaysia

Some of the service providers above, such as Google, Meta and Automattic, process data outside Malaysia. We use them only for the purposes described in this policy.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiry form submissions are sent to our mailbox by email; the website itself does not keep a copy. We keep enquiry emails and correspondence for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry or our work together, and for the periods required by accounting, tax and other laws. Analytics data is kept according to Google's and Meta's own settings.

7. Your rights and choices

Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you can:

• ask for access to the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
• withdraw your consent, or ask us to stop processing your data for a particular purpose.

Please email info@xingchenbirdnest.com. We will reply within the period the law requires, and may need to verify your identity before handling an access request.

Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), or manage ads in your Meta account's ad preferences. Blocking cookies does not stop you from browsing this website or sending an enquiry.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, such as HTTPS encryption across the whole site and server security protection. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, however.

9. Children

This website is for business customers and is not directed at anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The updated version will be posted on this page with its date. This policy is available in Chinese and English.
